The Curta is a very famous calculator, and this is the Curta model II, it was produced in January 1968.

It's a portable mechanical calculator, it comes with its metal box. It has been designed by Curt Herzstark, during the Second World War. It was then produced by the company Contina Ltd Mauren, in Liechtenstein, a little European state. If you can't find it on the map, don't worry, almost no one in Europe knows where it is. If you can't find it on the map, don't worry, almost no one in Europe knows where it is.

In the manual it states that it’s of superior quality with no artificial materials. I think it means that isn’t made with plastic, and actually is all made in metal, so it’s very robust.

When you first you see it it’s very confusing because it has many sliders and many counters, and it's very different from normal calculators. But using it in fact is very fast and easy.

In this video you can find how to use it, and some other information.
