Everest 90 (1938)

This is an old typewriter Everest 90.
The colour is not the classic black, but it’s dark blue. According to the manual, this typewriter was produced in 11 colours.

The producer is “Serio”, Milano.

Serio company was founded in 1932 in Italy, by 7 mechanics who bought an old horse nail factory, and here started to produce typewriters. They produced fairly good typewriters for some decades, competing with Olivetti, and in 1967 this company was acquired by Olivetti, then it disappeared.

This typewriter was an economical model, didn’t had a great quality, but since it was cheaper than other typewriter of the period, had a good sales success at the time.
