IBM TYPEWRITERS IN ITALY IN 1970S-1980S
In Italy, Olivetti always dominated; in effect, it was on home soil.
But IBM produced excellent typewriters, showcased in very attractive catalogs.
Its weakness in Italy was always its service network, which was far inferior to Olivetti's. And, speaking of devices requiring constant maintenance, it was always a sore point.
