Old Calculators from an Italian manufacturer

The Lagomarsino was a manufacturer of calculators based in Milan (Italy).

The company, founded in 1896 by Enrico Lagomarsino, was a historic Italian company working in the field of precision engineering industry

In 1937, Lagomarsino started the production of their own calculators:

Numeria series: calculators with full keyboards, often based on foreign patents.
Totalia series: a line of printing calculators with a reduced keyboard, considered among the best of the time for reliability and design.

During the 1940s and 1950s, Lagomarsino became a direct competitor of Olivetti, also distinguishing itself with a refined communication strategy.

Despite the high quality of its products, the company struggled to make the technological leap into electronics.
With the arrival of the first electronic calculators in the 1970s, Lagomarsino's mechanical and electromechanical machines became obsolete.

The company ceased production in the late 1970s, finally closing around 1980.
