Mignon model 4 (1925)
This is a Mignon Model 4, from AEG.
The design it’s not what you expect from a typewriter. There is a keyboard with the pointer, the name of the typewriter, the ribbon mechanism, and the carriage.
Around 200000 “Mignon 4” were produced between 1923 and 1934. The machine was a big success in Germany, and it was exported also to France, England, US and other countries.
It seems difficult to be fast with this typewriter, but it seems some trained typist could type around 300 characters per minute, not bad.
