Olivetti Lettera 35
The Olivetti Lettera 35
Olivetti started to sell the Olivetti Lettera 35 in 1972.
The design, as usual for that period, was made by Mario Bellini, and it was inspired by the design of the Lettera 36.
The casing of the typewriter is in metal, it’s very heavy.
It was a very successful typewriter, Olivetti sold a lot of these, and It has been for years the Olivetti’s flagship of portable typewriter sales.
It was used by students because it was robust and portable, it was used at home, and also in little offices to write letters.
So it’s not a very particular typewriter, but it’s a piece of history, and we celebrate it as such.
This is the Olivetti Lettera 35. It belonged to my friend Luana and she donated it to me. In this video there is how it works and some history of the typewriter
Also this Olivetti Lettera 35 belonged to Imma, also her donated it to me. If you are a woman, you have a Lettera 35 and you want to donate it to me, I will make a video and will add it to this list. But please don't do it in large numbers, my space is limited.
