Olivetti M24

Hello everybody.

The Olivetti PC M24 was built from 1983 to 1989 by Olivetti. At that time it costed about six million Lire in January 1986, around 4500 Dollars or Euro now.

The video it’s not a flat LCD video, but it’s a green screen video CGA (Colour Graphic Adapter). The CPU is the Intel 8086, the first processor at 16 Bit, 8 Mhz. There is a little more than 500 kb RAM, and the operating system is the MS-DOS.
It had a serial port, and a parallel port for connection of Centronics cables for a printer.

I made a video explaining in detail this PC.

The keyboard is different than the current ones. It's much more robust. It's not USB of course, there is a 9 pin connector.

I still have a lot of games on 5.25". I played with these in the 1980s, and more. Actually I'm still playing with these also now.
The games were very simple, but I enjoyed it a lot.

Tetris

Xonix

Alleycat

Pacman
