Olivetti Praxis 20 (1984)

Olivetti Praxix 20 is a electronic portable, sold by Olivetti in the 1980s.

It's a portable typewriter, the carrying case consists of the body itself of the typewriter, with a removable lid.
It's much more than a portable.

There is a memory for the corrections. The function is available on the last 19 characters printed on the current line. There is and Interchangeable daisy wheel writing element. Different fonts are available, depending on the type of spacing (1/10" or 1/12"), and it's very easy to change.
There is a ribbon specific for the corrections, in two versions, COVER UP, to cover the error, and LIFT-OFF, to remove the error.

It prints 8 caracthers per second, and there is a 12" carriage.

It's very light, so it's easy to carry and it's a real portable typewriter. Of course it needs a power supply.

But it had a big success.

Here a leaflet with the presentation of the Praxis 20.
