Olivetti Quanta The Olivetti QUANTA is a portable, writing electric adding machine.
It adds, subtracts, calculates negative balances, and multiplies by successive additions, writing the terms and results for each operation.
It provides partial and general totals; using the repeater, it can add or subtract the same number multiple times in succession; it has a device for writing reference numbers, dates, and serial numbers in non-calculating mode; it can calculate discounts and surcharges, perform cash checks, and compile the various items on an invoice.
The Olivetti Summa Quanta was introduced to the market in 1961. It is an electromechanical writing adding machine, designed by Natale Capellaro with design by Marcello Nizzoli, and is the motorized version of the Summa Prima 20 released the previous year.
