Underwood 6 typewriter

Underwood Standard 6 from 1933

It’s an office typewriter, a standard typewriter, so to say. It was used by many famous people, Sinclair Lewis and Paddy Chayefsky, playwrights, Langston Hughes, a poet, the writers Damon Runyon, Rex Stout, Howard Zinn, and Isaac Bashevis, a singer.

The model standard 6 is the model following the very successful model 5 from Underwood. So the model 6 is very similar to the model 5. Many spare parts for Underwood 5 are the same also on Underwood 6.
